Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President “On additional measures of state support for the livestock industry” was adopted on 29 January 2020.
The resolution created the Republican Council for the development of livestock and its industries, as well as defined its main tasks.
In particular, the Council provides mutual cooperation between state and economic authorities in the field of livestock, local government bodies, livestock processing industry enterprises and livestock business entities.
In accordance with the decision, it is provided:
- compensation in the part that exceeds the basic rate of the Central Bank, but not more than 8 percentage points, or a guarantee of 50 percent of the amount of loans in the amount of up to 20 billion soums allocated by commercial banks for the implementation of projects in animal husbandry, poultry farming, fish farming and rabbit farming;
- compensation to cover interest expenses on loans of commercial banks up to 40 percent of the interest rate established by commercial banks, but not more than 4 percentage points - on loans in foreign currency in an equivalent not exceeding 20 billion soums.
Also, in 2020-2022, the state allocates subsidies in the following order:
- farms producing livestock products:
- in the amount of 1 million soums for each unit of pedigree cattle purchased from pedigree farms operating in the republic;
- in the amount of 2 million soums for each unit of breeding livestock, in the amount of 400 thousand soums for each breeding sheep and goat imported from foreign countries;
- to farms - members of the Uzbekbaliksanoat Association, which grow fish intensively:
- in the amount of 1 million soums per ton of fish products grown intensively;
- in the amount of 50 percent of expenses up to 3.5 million soums per 1 breeding stock of fish imported into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- to poultry farms - members of the Parrandasanoat Association to compensate for 9 thousand soums of expenses associated with the import of each one-day thoroughbred chicken.
