Light industry produces goods for 3.503 trln. soums

Enterprises of light industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 3.503 trillion soums in January-July 2012, which grew by 13.2% year-on-year.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the adopted measures, by the government, helped to increase production of non-food products.
In the result of the measures, leather industry increased production by 22.6%, clothing industry – by 22.5%, silk industry – 19.9%, knitwear industry – 12.9% and cotton production – 8.2%.
