LEO Group Holds Strategic Dialogue with Uzbekistan on Water Infrastructure Modernization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — LEO Group conducted a strategic dialogue with the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan focused on developing water infrastructure and the production of pumping equipment.

The meeting involved Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and LEO Group Chairman Xianzhun Wang. Discussions centered on modernizing irrigation systems and improving water resource management to enhance agricultural efficiency and support sustainable development in this key sector of Uzbekistan’s economy.

A central topic was strengthening cooperation in water infrastructure. Government officials emphasized the need to upgrade pumping stations and water supply networks to reduce losses and ensure reliable distribution.

Potential projects through public-private partnerships (PPP) and integrated solutions combining advanced LEO Pump technologies with water management systems were considered. LEO’s pump technologies are critical for irrigation infrastructure, enabling long-distance water transport, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring stable crop yields. The company has supplied solutions to over 160 countries for agriculture, municipal water, energy, and industrial applications.

The dialogue also addressed prospects for local pump manufacturing, including the establishment of engineering technoparks to stimulate technical innovation, strengthen supply chains, and develop local skills in Uzbekistan.

This strategic engagement aligns with Uzbekistan’s national program “Uzbekistan-2030,” which emphasizes irrigation modernization and efficient water use, creating opportunities for advanced technology adoption and international investment.

The meeting confirmed a shared commitment to improving water resource management, reinforcing irrigation systems, and expanding industrial cooperation. Partnerships in pump technologies and infrastructure solutions are expected to be pivotal in building sustainable water systems for the future.
