In his report, the minister highlighted that in recent years, a comprehensive set of measures has been implemented in the country to ensure the efficient use of land resources, reform the agricultural sector, and enhance the export potential of fruit and vegetable products.

Particular attention has been given to strengthening the legal framework for production, processing, storage, and export of agricultural products. Key legislative initiatives include the adoption of the laws “On Agricultural Cooperatives,” “On Insurance of Agricultural Risks,” and the Water Code, which have improved the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.

In 2025, within the framework of introducing international standards in agriculture and the food industry, 2,032 enterprises were planned for certification. The Ministry provided financial support totaling 3.8 billion soums to 48 enterprises implementing international standards.

Currently, 4,233 standards operate in the fields of agriculture and the food industry, of which 1,957 have been aligned with international requirements. In the process of WTO compliance, 410 documents were revised.

Over the past three years, food production increased from 76.5 trillion soums to 133.2 trillion soums, processing of fruit and vegetable products grew 2.5 times, and dairy production increased 1.3 times. For 2025–2026, a list of 673 projects in the food industry was developed, with a total value of 10.4 trillion soums. To date, 4.9 trillion soums have been invested, 429 projects implemented, and 6,406 new jobs created.

In 2025, crops were sown on 3.9 million hectares, including 898,000 hectares of re-sown crops. The total output reached 12.8 million tonnes, including 5.1 million tonnes of food products. Export markets cover 95 countries, with leading partners being Russia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and China. Systematic efforts are underway to access the markets of Japan, the United States, South Korea, and European countries.

Parliamentarians, noting the achieved results, made recommendations to further increase the export-oriented production of fruit and vegetable products and to enhance their quality and safety.
