The draft law is developed in line with the tasks of the Concept on further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in the country.

The document is directed at further boosting participation of public and NGOs in ecologic control, monitoring situation in the regions in protection of environment and health of population, creation of control system, etc.

The draft law allows to set legal mechanism for participation of public and NGOs, citizens in system directed at protection of environment and rational use of natural resources.

The document also introduces institute of public ecologic control, within which civil society institutes will participate in ecologic control. They will also participate in decision making process and execution of the state programme on environment and health protection.

The draft law also sets main goals of the ecologic control, order of their organization and registration of the results of ecologic control.

Legislative Chamber also considered other issues of its jurisdiction.
