The event was organized in from of inter-factional debates and it was organized by the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on democratic institutes, non-governmental organizations and self-governing bodies in cooperation with factions of political parties and MPs Group of Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan, UzA reported.
Chairperson of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on democratic institutes, non-governmental organizations and self-governing bodies Akmal Saidov underlined that the new draft law “On complaints of individuals and legal entities” concretizes several clauses.
The draft law will be effective both for individuals and legal entities and will eliminate gaps in regulation of the relations, connected with complaints of the individuals and legal entities. The document also allows to submit complaints in electronic form.
It was noted that the draft law “On complaints of individuals and legal entities” is directly connected with a draft law “On openness of the activities of the state bodies and administration”, which is currently tested in Bukhara and Samarkand regions.
The draft law “On openness of the activities of the state bodies and administration” envisages consideration of complaints of individuals and legal entities by the state bodies and administrations within fifteen days and complaints of mass media within seven days.
Changes, related to raising responsibility of the state bodies and responsible officials at work with addresses of individuals and legal entities, will be introduced to the article 144 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan and article 43 of the Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility.
At the meeting, the participants shared their recommendations and proposals on improving the draft laws.
