Legislative Chamber considers simplification of car renting

As it was noted, the accelerated development of the tourism industry, increasing its role and contribution to the economy, diversification and improvement of the quality of services for tourists, expansion of tourism infrastructure are identified as important tasks in the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

The draft law proposes to introduce additions that simplify the issues of legal registration of the contract for rental of vehicles by individuals without its notarization for a period of one month. Currently, the national legislation requires a notarization of the conclusion of a car rental contract.

Factions of political parties, especially members of “Milliy tiklanish” faction, emphasized the need for improving the norms of this draft law on the basis of tasks set by the President on development of tourism in the country. In particular, expansion of the number of entities providing this type of services.
