Legislative Chamber considers several draft laws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session in Tashkent on 29 January 2014.

MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments in some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with further strengthening judicial protection of business entities”, the press service of the lower house of parliament said.

The draft law is directed at further developing judicial system to provide more freedom to business entities, protection of their interests and freedoms.

The draft law envisages that the decision of the state bodies will be suspended if the businesses submit complaints to the courts. It was said that the document will be another step to reform judicial-legal system.

MPs discussed a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”, which was developed to harmonize legislation with the law “On normative-legal acts” in new edition.

In particular, the law “On normative-legal acts” includes norms on expertise of the legislative acts to ensure their effectiveness.

The new draft law introduces changes and amendments to article 7 of the law “On order of preparing laws and their introduction of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan”.

In line with the article 23 of the law “On normative-legal acts”, the law developers should prepare comparative table, which will include internal practice and foreign legislative norms and legislation of Uzbekistan and proposals on introducing or amending legislative acts.

The draft law will also introduce changes to some other legislative acts, which are connected with the law making process in Uzbekistan.

MPs noted that new draft law will create effective mechanism to develop quality legislative documents. MPs also considered other issues. MPs adopted corresponding decisions on considered issues.
