Legislative Chamber considers political parties, Accounts Chamber

Legislative Chamber considered reports of the political parties on their source of financing in 2013, the lower house of the Uzbek parliament said.

Heads of Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party, People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish, Social-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Adolat presented reports on the source of financing of the parties.

They noted that political parties of Uzbekistan presented financial and accounting reports in line with the legislation. They presented financial documents on income and expenses of the parties of financial bodies, tax services, Accounts Chamber and Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of all factions of political parties and MP groups of Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan shared their views on the reports. It was noted that it is important to set parliamentary control on financial discipline of political parties.

According to MPS, material-financial, organizational-cadre and other resources of political parties have important place in implementation of their progamme goals and tasks, so they should be transparent and comply to laws. It was said that budget resources should be used rationally and effectively.

Afterwards, Legislative Chamber discussed the report Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan for 2013. It was said that the Chamber carried out control over forming and execution of the state budget of Uzbekistan and effective use of the budget resources.

Accounts Chamber analyzed use of budget resources by territorial and sectoral division and assessed income part of the state budget. The Chamber also monitored financial operations of the political parties in 2013.

After considerations, the Legislative Chamber approved the report of the Account Chamber for 2013 and adopted a corresponding resolution.
