Leaders of Uzbekistan and UAE highlighted the strengthening of strategic partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a phone conversation on 11 March, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, warmly congratulated the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his birthday.
The leader of Uzbekistan wished the UAE President good health, well-being, and success in his state duties, as well as extended sincere wishes for peace and prosperity to the friendly people of the Emirates. During their discussion, the leaders of the two countries also exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Particular attention was given to the Uzbek President’s visit to the UAE in January of this year, which marked a new milestone in the development of bilateral relations, elevating them to the level of a strategic partnership. A special "roadmap" was adopted for the effective implementation of the agreements reached.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic progress of Uzbek-Emirati cooperation, especially in the trade, economic, and investment sectors. There has been steady growth in mutual trade turnover, investment volumes, and the number of joint ventures.
As part of the current project portfolio worth US$20 billion, active collaboration with leading Emirati companies continues in key areas such as green energy, digitalization, artificial intelligence, urban development, infrastructure projects, tourism, and the development of private business.
Additionally, they discussed preparations for the second summit of the "Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council" dialogue, which will be held in Samarkand.
