Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 March, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation, during which they exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and conveyed their heartfelt wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of both countries.

The two leaders discussed the implementation of agreements reached during Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Uzbekistan in February.

They noted the intensification of contacts at the ministerial and departmental levels, as well as the successful Uzbek food exhibition held in Islamabad in March. Additionally, an extra flight to Lahore is set to be launched in April.

Particular attention was given to preparations for the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Commission, which will review the progress of joint projects and measures to accelerate their implementation.

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional issues.
