Laziz Kudratov: The United States – a Key Supplier of Technologies for Uzbekistan’s Industrial Growth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke at the B5+1 forum in Bishkek, emphasizing the pragmatic nature of Central Asia’s cooperation with the United States.

The focus is on tangible trade, technological collaboration, and concrete contracts. The United States is already one of the main suppliers of high-tech products to Uzbekistan, including aviation equipment and Boeing services, automotive technologies, water-saving solutions, machinery for the cotton industry, industrial equipment, chemical products, and digital systems.

With the country’s economic growth, demand for American technologies is expected to rise, viewed as a long-term trend.

Special attention was given to critical minerals: the region is prepared to develop their processing and integrate into international supply chains, ensuring reliable deliveries for American industry.

Additionally, emphasis was placed on technology transfer and standards—from “smart” agriculture to industrial automation.

This approach will enable Uzbekistan to access advanced technologies, accelerate industrial modernization, and strengthen the country’s position in global supply chains.
