Law on personal data discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 September 2019, the Republican Higher School of Business and Management hosted a seminar with the participation of the deputy director of the State Personalization Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Talipov Alisher on the theme: “The essence and significance of the Law “On Personal Data”.

The seminar was held in the format of a discussion lecture, in which the employees of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and subordinate organizations took part.

During the seminar, Alisher Talipov explained in detail the purpose of the adoption of this law, its basic concepts, rights and obligations of participants in the processing of personal data. After the law comes into force (from 1 October 2019), all owners and operators of personal data bases will be required to store and process the personal data of citizens of Uzbekistan, having previously obtained their consent to this and take the necessary legal, organizational and technical measures to protect personal data.
