Latvian President to pay visit to Uzbekistan

The visit of the President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš will take place on 27-29 May 2014, the press-service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš will hold negotiations to discuss current state and perspectives of further development of bilateral cooperation in politics, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas.

Presidents of two nations will also exchange opinion on actual regional and international issues.

It is planned to adopt a joint state of the leaders of two states and sign several Uzbek-Latvian documents on cooperation in various areas.

As reported earlier, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov paid the state visit to Latvia in October 2013.
