Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek Embassy in Latvia organized online negotiations with the chief expert of the Mottra group of companies using highly efficient fish and caviar growing technologies, a member of the board of the leading Latvian companies in this field, Hibitech and HydroBioTech Sergey Trachuk, Dunyo reported.
These companies have numerous patents and quality certificates obtained as a result of the development of the most modern and advanced technologies in the field of aquaculture. Their products are exported to countries in Europe, America and Asia.
The event was attended by representatives of the Center for Investment Projects Development and Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of our country.
The prospects of developing cooperation with Latvia and the implementation of an investment project to create an integrated fisheries in Khorezm region were discussed.
The Latvian side is provided with detailed information about the investment potential of the region, expressed willingness to create the necessary conditions for the implementation of an investment project in this area.
For his part, S. Trachuk said that Uzbekistan is carrying out targeted work to rapidly develop the fish farming industry, increase fish production through the introduction of modern and innovative methods. To this end, in a fairly short period, a number of important government decisions have been adopted.
He praised the special attention in Uzbekistan to the introduction of modern methods of intensive fish farming, innovative ideas and resource-saving technologies for establishing multicultural production, and increasing the efficiency of the use of farms' reservoirs.
During the event, a Latvian businessman voiced proposals for the implementation of the project “Creating a multi-integrated economy with the production of black caviar” in Khorezm.
The parties reached an agreement on the joint development of a project proposal indicating further practical actions by the parties.
