Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Surely many of us know one old saying, prepare a sled in summer and a cart in winter. It reflects the work of employees of gas supplying organizations in the best possible way, since preparations for the next autumn-winter season begin as early as spring.
An ordinary city dweller may not be interested in the daily work of specialists in the field. Gas supply in the capital is taken for granted. "Blue fuel" has long become an integral part of our everyday life, although even the smallest problems in its supply complicate life and violate the comfort of residents.
Yes, the gas supply system should work like a clock, as a single well-coordinated mechanism. That is why hundreds of specialists make a lot of effort and work to ensure round-the-clock supply of natural gas at any time of the year.
It is especially difficult for gas supply employees in winter, when the consumption of natural gas increases several times. In practice, it is the cold season that reveals the weaknesses of the system that need to be strengthened. This can be seen in the example of the capital. Last winter was rather harsh: an early cold snap, an increase in the number of subscribers, a sharp increase in consumption. In this regard, JSC "Khududgaztaminot" received a lot of complaints from citizens from different regions related to interruptions in gas supply. The pandemic also made adjustments not for the better. Many of the workers, like other citizens, have suffered from COVID 19.
Taking into account the analysis of the identified problems, opinions and proposals of the townspeople, as well as all force majeure circumstances, the preparation of the gas supply system for the current autumn-winter season in Tashkent is taking place on a larger scale. Huge work on the modernization and repair of gas networks, gas control points (HCP), the transition from a three-stage to a two-stage gas supply system is already yielding positive results.
A major event for the residents of the capital was the commissioning of a gas pipeline with a diameter of 1020 mm and a length of about 8 kilometers. The construction of such an object in Uzbekistan has not been carried out for the last 40 years. The construction, which began on the eve of the new year, was supposed to be completed in a few months, but the process was complicated by a lot of educational work. Repeated meetings were held with critical citizens dissatisfied with the construction of the facility. Experts explained to them in detail the essence of what was happening and the advantages of the innovation.
To date, this facility has already been commissioned. Many residents of Sergeli, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Shaikhontaur and other districts of the capital have already felt dramatic changes in the supply of "blue fuel" due to an increase in the fuel supply rate. It should be noted that efficiency has increased due to the fact that the gas supply system of Tashkent was looped back. In terms of numbers, gas supply has improved for almost 100 thousand consumers in the capital. Problems have been resolved in such large makhallas as Urikzor, Chuponota, Oktepa, Izza, Samarkand Darvoza, Zangiota, Suzuk ota, Novza and others.
Interruptions in the supply of natural gas during the winter period were also observed in several makhallas of Shaykhantaur district of Tashkent. In particular, residents of 305 houses of the Katta Havuz MSG have complained to gas supply organizations about low gas pressure over the past years. The main reason for the emergence of problems was hidden in obsolete gas control points, which have been in operation for more than 30 years.
This year, JSC "Khududgaztaminot" in cooperation with the Italian company "Pietro Fiorentini" launched a pilot project on the problem area. Four modern hydraulic fracturing stations were installed here, which allow real-time monitoring of the stability of natural gas supply to consumers. As a result of the innovations, it is planned to install modern hydraulic fracturing in other regions of Tashkent.
The gas supply system is also being improved in Bektemir district of the capital. There are many manufacturing enterprises in this area, therefore, consumption is quite high here, which caused problems for the population. In order to ensure more stable gas pressure and reduce losses in the networks, the Khududgaz Poytakht branch transferred several makhallas of the district to a two-stage gas supply system. This system is recommended for cities with a large number of consumers located over a large area. Thus, the issues with gas for more than 4.2 thousand consumers of MSG "Nurafshon", "Zilola", "Chashma", "Abai", "Bektemir", "Kh. Baikar", "Oltintopgan", "Mazhnuntol" and "SVT" ".
The analysis of complaints in the context of the districts of the capital showed that in the last autumn-winter period, residents of several makhallas of Chilanzar and Mirabad district also faced a problem in gas supply. It should be said that the construction of new metro lines and ground bridges has made adjustments to the local gas networks. Along with the construction of transport communications, it was necessary to reconstruct the gas "arteries" of the region, which required additional costs.
In particular, during the construction of the Sergeli metro line, it was necessary to "cut off" the D-426 mm gas pipe from the gas supply network along the Gavkhar street of Chilanzar district and supply gas in a roundabout way. As a result, problems arose with gas supply to residents of the Kichik Dombirobod, Katta Dombirobod and Astrobod mahallas.
A similar situation arose on the street "Lutfiy" of the Chilanzar district of the capital. Due to the construction of an overhead pedestrian crossing, the D-426 mm pipe was “cut off” from the gas supply network. As a result, in winter, problems with gas supply arose in blocks 13, 14, 15, G-9A, G-9 of the Uchtepa district.
For the restoration of the gas pipeline of Khududgaztaminot JSC, financing was allocated for its installation, overhaul and reconstruction. The work has already come to an end. Currently, over 15 thousand consumers of the Chilanzar, Uchtepa, Yakkasaray and Shaykhantaur districts of the capital have experienced a change for the better in the operation of home gas appliances.
Much work has been done to improve gas supply from the Khasanboy mahalla of the Yunusabad region to Furkat Street (the People’s Friendship Palace). 7.5 kilometers of a new gas pipeline has been laid here. This made it possible to improve gas supply to TC-3 "Zapadnaya", which in turn will affect the supply of heat to multi-storey buildings in the Shaikhantaur, Almazar, Uchtepa and Chilanzar districts of the capital.
Currently, work is underway to restore the gas pipeline at the intersection of the small ring road and Fargona Yuli street. Problems with gas supply here began in 2017 in connection with the construction of a road bridge. The gas pipeline through which gas was supplied to MSG Ok uy, Fayzobod, Vesna, Sarikul, Munis, Fargona Yuli and S. Azimova was cut off from the general gas supply network. Therefore, the supply of fuel to the makhallas was carried out by a different route. In general, the restoration work has improved gas supply to more than five thousand consumers.
In conclusion, we can say that preparations for the autumn-winter season have come to an end. In general, gas supply specialists audited 2,814 metropolitan hydraulic fracturing stations, updated more than 120 gas control points, overhauled 23 kilometers of the gas pipeline, cleaned 205.5 kilometers of the gas pipeline under air pressure. The main attention is paid to overground communications: more than 264 kilometers have been checked and more than 213 kilometers of the gas pipeline have been painted.
It should be noted that the volume of work this year was done in such a way that it is several times higher than the volume of previous years. It remains to be hoped that this winter we will not encounter natural disasters and everything will go smoothly with respect to the source of heat and our comfortable life.
