Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Senate Chairperson of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva, during her stay in Japan, met with the Special Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ichiro Kawabat.

During the meeting, brief information was voiced on improving the activities of parliament, strengthening parliamentary control over the activities of executive bodies, and improving legislative work.

Kawabata emphasized that Japan is closely monitoring and appreciating large-scale and dynamic reforms in Uzbekistan. The changes taking place in Uzbekistan open up new broad opportunities for further intensification of bilateral Uzbek-Japanese cooperation.

At the same time, an important factor bringing together the peoples of the two countries is the similarity of values and traditions, mentality, lifestyle, hard work and hospitality, in connection with which Uzbekistan is increasingly attracting Japanese tourists.
