Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – About 25 hectares of land have been allocated for the Parkent Farm free economic zone. According to the free planning, 17.73 hectares of land are intended for production (for investors), 7.27 hectares for the infrastructure of the free economic zone. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent regional khokimiyat.
Today in the free economic zone "Parkent-Farm" on a land plot with an area of 14.68 hectares, 8 projects are being implemented for the amount of US$30.2 million.
After the projects are launched at full capacity, the annual productivity will be 288 billion soums (US$27.434 million), 837 jobs will be created (191 at the first stage). Exports will reach 65.1 billion soums or US$6.2 million.
At present, 2 objects have been commissioned. The remaining 4 projects are under construction, 2 projects are being documented.
In addition, there are currently 3.05 hectares of vacant land in the FEZ, for which negotiations are underway with investors in the pharmaceutical sector, such as India (Mr Vaibhav Kumar Ahluwalia, Vivalia Remedies Co.ltd) and Afghanistan (Mr Abdulfattah Aziziy, Trajmir Pharmaceuticals Co.ltd).
