Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 16 February 2020, unknown persons stole 806 meters of an inoperative gas pipeline stretched through the territory of the Tinchlik mahalla in Kosonsky district and belonging to the regional branch of Kosontumangaz JSC, for a total amount of 84.63 million soums.
On this fact, the Investigation Department at the Department of Internal Affairs of Kosonsky District initiated a criminal case under subsection “c” of part 3 of article 169 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (theft committed on a large scale).
It was established by investigative and operational measures that the driver of the DAF truck A.A. when transporting 84 pipes to Samarkand region was determined, and the pipes were removed in the prescribed manner. It was established by further measures that these pipes were abducted by 37-year-old A.D., 53-year-old Sh.K., so they agreed with the 36-year-old B.N., who was involved in welding works, cut the pipeline with a weld torch and, using the acquaintances of 25-year-old Ya.M. loaded pipes on a truck. Currently, a legal assessment is given to each participant in the crime committed.
