Landslide blocks the movement of the train

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 April 2019, a landslide occurred at 21:25 at 103 km (8 km from Akrabat station) of the Tashguzar-Baysun-Kumkurgan mountain railway in Kashkadarya region, Uzbekistan Railways said.

The landslide occurred during the passage of the passenger train No. 081 on the route Saryasiya-Tashkent message. Landslide blocked the movement of 3 cars. Thanks to the timely and coordinated actions of the train crew, the passengers were transferred and placed in the remaining train cars. None of the passengers was injured. Personal items and documents delivered and transferred to their owners.

At 10:10 pm train No. 081 with all passengers arrived safely at the Dehkanabad station. A full technical inspection was carried out on the spot, and two additional passenger cars were attached to an additional passenger accommodation of the train. Passenger train on the route Saryasia-Tashkent was safely sent to the destination.

The measures were taken to eliminate consequences of the landslide on the railway. The trains run on normal mode.
