Labour Ministry comments resolution on shifting day-off
According to the resolution, Monday, 31 August 2015, was announced as a day-off in Uzbekistan, while 29 August, Saturday, - as a working day in the country.
In connection with received requests, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Uzbekistan stated that norm of working hours, set for August 2015, will not change for people, who work six days a week.
The norm of working hours will grow by 1 hour for people, who work five days a week, as the announced working day, 29 August, does not fall to article 121 of Labour Code of Uzbekistan. In other words, 29 August is not the eve of the holiday, the statement of the Ministry of Labour said.
So, the norm of working hours will change for 1 hour for the third quarter, nine months of 2015 and the second half of 2015, as well as 2015 as a whole.
