Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia took part in the ceremony of laying flowers in honor of Memorial and Honor Day, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the event, the Uzbek people made a huge contribution to the overall victory over fascism, which gave numerous lives on the battlefields of World War II, worked tirelessly in industrial enterprises evacuated to the republic, provided the front with food and agricultural products, and also shared shelter and bread with by millions of people from the war zone.

On this significant day, Embassy staff laid flowers at the memorial monument, thereby honoring the memory and paying tribute to those who participated in the Second World War.
