Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the Korean-Uzbek Business Center in Incheon, negotiations were held between the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan B. Khabibullaev and the Chairman of Hwachon Plant Construction Shin Chol Shik via video conference, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the early start of the practical implementation of a project to build a cement plant in Karauzyak district for a total of US$380 million. In particular, the issue of financing the project, providing for the phased attraction of funds and technologies, was discussed in detail.
Shin Chol Shchik announced his readiness to visit Karakalpakstan in the near future to carry out all the activities necessary to start the project. He expressed hope for an early resolution of the situation with the coronavirus pandemic and the resumption of regular flights between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue discussions and organize negotiations through video conferencing.
