KNAUF announces republican competition for interior designers and architects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A competition of architectural projects Me’mor Award // 2019 started on 10 April 2019.

The organizer was the KNAUF GIPS BUKHARA LLC in partnership with the association of architects and designers “ADP” with the support of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The total prize fund will be 119 million soums.

The competition of architectural projects for the Me’mor Award // 2019 will be a republican event, giving an idea of the state of modern architecture of Uzbekistan. The award will mark the best works in the field of architecture, created in Uzbekistan and beyond in the period of 2014–2018.

“The Me’mor // 2019 Award will allow participants to share their vision and receive feedback from foreign experts. The international jury consisted of prominent representatives of the architectural sphere of Spain, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia. If there is a response from architects and interior designers, we will make an annual award to motivate professionals to search and implement interesting solutions,” Shukhrat Abdujamilov, director of the Tashkent branch of KNAUF GIPS Bukhara, said

Participants can submit works in 7 competition categories:

• Public buildings and facilities. Construction or project.
• Residential complexes. Private architecture. Construction or project
• Improvement of public space. Construction or project.
• Best residential interior.
• The best commercial or public interior.
• The best construction of a foreign office in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
• The best project or construction of a domestic author outside the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The jury will select three winners in each nomination. Owners of the first places will receive 8 million soums, the second places - 5.5 million soums, third places - 3.5 million soums. Applications are accepted through the official website of the contest www.memorawards.uz. Reception of entries will last until 20 May 2019.
