King of Jordan Receives Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan / Press service of King of Jordan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday received Sardor Umurzakov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Strategic Development, the monarch’s press service said in a statement.
The visit of the Uzbek delegation is taking place as part of the implementation of agreements reached during King Abdullah II’s trip to Uzbekistan last month. The program also includes meetings with a number of Jordanian officials.
During the talks, the King emphasized the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries and highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in trade, investment, healthcare, education, tourism, and defense.
He stressed the need for close coordination to implement the agreements reached, including nine cooperation agreements and protocols, as well as three memoranda of understanding signed in Tashkent.
The parties also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
