Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.

At Samarkand airport, the distinguished guest was welcomed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The ceremony featured the raising of the national flags of both countries, an honor guard, and performances of traditional songs and dances.

The main events of the visit are scheduled for August 26. Today, the two heads of state will tour the historic landmarks of ancient Samarkand.
