Khusniddin Olimov awarded Doctor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics
Khusniddin Olimov presented a dissertation titled “Production of negative pions and D0(1232) resonances in p, d, 4He, 12C (12C)and 12С181Ta collisions at 4.2 A GeV/c”.
All 17 present members of the scientific Council, including three members of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, voted unanimously for awarding the Doctor of Science degree in the physics and mathematics sciences to Dr. Khusniddin Olimov.
The members of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, professors Muzayusuf Musakhanov, Shukhrat Egamberdiev, and Tolib Muminov emphasized the high scientific level of the doctoral dissertation of Dr. Olimov with the obtained scientific results contributing significantly into the development of the high energy nuclear physics in the world, which were recognized by the leading international researchers.
It should be mentioned that Dr. Khusniddin Olimov defended successfully his PhD (Philosophy Doctor) dissertation in the physics and mathematics sciences at the same Institute of Nuclear Physics, the biggest research institution of Uzbekistan, exactly 16 years ago.
The Doctor of Science is the highest academic degree, which is awarded at most of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, Eastern Europe states and some Western Europe countries, including the Great Britain.
Dr. Khusniddin Olimov has become the first and the only Doctor of Science working at Inha University in Tashkent.
For preparing and completing the Doctor of Science dissertation, after obtaining the PhD degree, one has to conduct the large amount of the long time quality investigations and publish the obtained results at the prestigious refereed international journals in the corresponding research field.
Dr. Olimov published the results of his Doctor of Science dissertation at 33 scientific works, including 20 papers at the leading refereed international journals on nuclear physics, out of which 5 papers published at the “Physical Review C” journal of the American physical society, 2 papers at the “The European Physical Journal A” of the European physical society, 6 papers at the “International Journal of Modern Physics E” of the famous World Scientific Publishing Incorporation, 6 papers at the journal “Physics of Atomic Nuclei” of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and 1 paper was published at the “Central European Journal of Physics” of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Doctor of Sciences, PhD, physics professor of IUT Khusniddin Olimov has 20-year experience of the successful research and teaching. He published more than 100 scientific works, including 50 papers in the prestigious international Web of Science journals on nuclear physics (Physical Review C, The European Physical Journal A, Journal of Physics, International Journal of Modern Physics E, Physics of Atomic Nuclei). Two PhD and two Master of Science dissertations were successfully defended under the scientific supervision of Dr. Olimov.
In 2017 Dr. Khusniddin Olimov obtained the prestigious international award “Science Leader”, conferred by the famous international company “Clarivate” jointly with the Agency on Sciences and Technologies of Uzbekistan, for his 41 papers, published in the prestigious international Web of Science journals in the last 10 years. In 2016 he became the sole winner from Uzbekistan of the prestigious international TWAS (The World Academy of Sciences, Italy) award for his international scientific publications.
Inha University in Tashkent congratulates sincerely Dr. Khusniddin Olimov on obtaining the prestigious scientific degree of Doctor of Science in the physics and mathematics sciences and wishes him the further successes in his research and teaching activities and endeavors.
