Khurshid Mustafayev Appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance for Oil and Gas
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established a new position of Deputy Minister responsible for oil and gas, with Khurshid Mustafayev appointed to the role. Previously, he oversaw tariff policy within the ministry.
The creation of this position was initiated by the President and aims to strengthen public governance in the strategically important oil and gas sector.
The new role is expected to accelerate the implementation of systemic reforms and enhance the efficiency of sector management.
Khurshid Mustafayev already has experience serving at the deputy minister level within the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2024. His new responsibilities will include coordinating processes and supervising the implementation of reforms in the oil and gas industry.
