Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days, the installation of new gas meters has begun as part of the introduction of an automated gas metering system in the country. Khududgaztaminot has repeatedly informed consumers about this. This was reported by the press service of Khududgaztaminot.

However, despite repeated warnings and media reports, complaints began to be received from natural gas users about the collection by employees of regional gas supply organizations for the installation of new gas meters.

In particular, on 9 June 2020, N. Khadjimetova’s appeal came through social networks that the mechanic D. Baratov, who works at the Yashnobodtumangaz branch in Tashkent, called her husband with a proposal to install a new gas meter instead of the broken one. For the provision of services, a locksmith asked for a material reward.

In order to prevent such offenses from the workers of gas supply organizations and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, a group of specialists of Khududgaztaminot headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board A. Saidvaliev visited Khadjimetov family home.

A conversation took place during which explanations were given on the rules for installing new gas meters. It was noted that all maintenance of gas metering devices and the associated costs (installation, removal, calibration, repair) are carried out by gas supplying organizations, and consumers themselves are only responsible for its safety. Moreover, all components, in particular pipes, gas filters, bolts, adapters, welding wire and other details are also purchased at the expense of gas supplying organizations.

On this fact, an emergency meeting was held at Khududgaz Toshkent Shahar LLC with the participation of senior officials of gas supply organizations. For the offenses identified, officials of the Khududgaztaminot applied disciplinary measures to the officials involved in the incident. And the locksmith of the Yashnobodtumangaz branch D. Baratov was relieved of his post.
