Khojiakbar Alijonov Signs 18-Month Contract with Persepolis

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team defender Khojiakbar Alijonov is leaving Pakhtakor to continue his career with Iranian club Persepolis. The left-back of the Tashkent team has reached an agreement on the transfer and will sign an 18-month contract.

According to available information, the transfer fee is expected to range between US$800,000 and US$1 million, which Persepolis will pay to Pakhtakor.

It is also reported that Alijonov himself will receive significantly improved financial terms, with a substantial increase in his salary.

The 28-year-old defender is a product of Pakhtakor’s youth system. He played 229 matches for the club’s senior team across all competitions.
