Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan opened its campaign at the U-17 World Wrestling Championships in Greece with gold medal victories, as two of its athletes claimed top honors on the very first day of the tournament.

Bunyod Khasanov triumphed in the 48 kg weight category, while Abdulaziz Kholmirzayev secured gold in the 80 kg division.

Both wrestlers delivered outstanding performances, earning Uzbekistan its first gold medals at the world championship and setting a confident tone for the national team’s participation.
