Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In October this year, an agreement was signed between the poultry farm Saxovat and KFC Tajikistan for the supply of semi-finished products from chicken meat. By the end of this year, the Uzbek company plans to export up to 30 tons of products to Tajikistan.
This manufacturer was selected as a supplier for an international restaurant chain in the Republic of Tajikistan for a number of reasons:
- compliance with global requirements for production and product quality control;
- availability of international SGS certificate, confirming the absence of biological and chemical contamination in products;
- availability of the Halal certificate;
- competitive price due to the geographical proximity of the countries and state support for poultry farming in Uzbekistan.
In June 2021, poultry farmers in Uzbekistan received subsidies for the sale of eggs and meat, a 2-fold reduction in a number of taxes, as well as coverage of part of interest payments on loans. This reduced the cost of production and expanded the export opportunities of the republic. As of 1 October 2021, the poultry population in Uzbekistan reached 86 million heads (an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period last year).
The Pskent division has a separate workshop that manufactures products for KFC chains in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
