Kazakhstan’s Tokayev arrives in Uzbekistan on visit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Kazakh leader was received at Bukhara International Airport by President Mirziyoyev.

An official welcoming ceremony included the performance of national songs and dances, the raising of the state flags of both countries, a guard of honor, and the playing of the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan by a military orchestra.

During the visit, bilateral talks at the highest level are scheduled. The leaders are also expected to visit several historical and cultural landmarks in the ancient city of Bukhara, as well as review the operations of industrial enterprises and other facilities in the region.
