Kazakhstani people switch to clothing products from Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The largest amount of clothing in Kazakhstan last year was imported from Uzbekistan. In 2017, China was the leader in supply.

Imports of clothing in Kazakhstan in 2018 made up 34,500 tonnes, LS Kazakhstan edition reports. This volume of goods costed the purchasers US$512.3 million. In real terms, imports decreased by 4.9%, and in monetary terms increased by 5.5%.

According to “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association, the largest amount of clothing products last year was imported from Uzbekistan (10,100 tonnes for US$18.4 million).

In 2017, China was the leader in supply. Last year, 8,500 tonnes of clothes were received from this country for US$83.5 million.
