Kazakhstan supplies 145 million kWh of electricity to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan since the end of June 2019 has begun to import electricity from Kazakhstan. It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
From the end of June to 17 July, Kazakhstan supplied 145 million kWh of electricity to Uzbekistan.
According to the agreement concluded between the authorized organizations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan during 2019 will import more than 1 billion kWh of electricity.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan notes that export deliveries of Kazakhstan’s electricity have become possible due to the existing surplus of electrical capacity, resulting from the Government’s policy of timely modernization, reconstruction and expansion of Kazakhstan’s power plants.
