Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Agree to Hold Regular Joint Military Exercises
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have agreed to conduct regular joint military exercises. The corresponding decree approving the draft agreement was signed by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
According to the document, the maneuvers will take place alternately on the territory of both countries, involving units of the ground forces, aviation, and special equipment.
The agreement also outlines procedures for military columns crossing the border, the use of training grounds, as well as medical and technical support.
The document is valid for five years. If neither party expresses a refusal, the agreement will be automatically extended.
Authorities emphasize that these exercises are aimed at strengthening regional security and enhancing cooperation between the armed forces of the two states.
