Kazakh delegation holds talks at Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 June 2019, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the Speaker of the lower house of parliament Nurdinjon Ismoilov with a delegation of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, welcoming the Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on a visit to our country, wished success in further developing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
At the meeting, the distinguished guest is presented with brief information about the large-scale reforms currently being carried out on the basis of the Strategy of Uzbekistan’s actions in all spheres of the country's life.
In our country, Kazakhstan is considered as a close neighbor, friend and reliable partner. Relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are developing on the basis of the principle of good-neighborliness, tested by the time of strong friendship and kindred ties.
As it was emphasized, Kazakhstan is one of the most important trade and economic partners of Uzbekistan. Our states pay special attention to active cooperation in all spheres. In this, the consistent nature of the meetings of the heads of two states in a different format is important.
It is known that the head of our country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, assuming the presidency, in the foreign policy of Uzbekistan attaches priority importance to further improving relations, primarily with close neighbors - with the countries of Central Asia. In this sense, it is no coincidence that one of the first visits of the President of Uzbekistan to foreign countries was made in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In recent years, due to the growing dynamics of relations with this state in leading spheres and sectors of the economy, in 2018 the volume of mutual trade grew by almost 50 percent and exceeded US$3 billion, which is the result of such warm relations.
