Share of small and private businesses in GDP made up 49.6% and in services – 55.1%. Industrial production rose by 10%, UzA reported. The production of agriculture goods rose by 7.4%.
At the session, it was reported that Karakalpakstan plans to use investments for 5.799 trillion soums in 2015 within the investment programme. In line with this programme, reconstruction works of 10 district hospitals, eight schools, capital repair of 12 schools, re-building of two schools, capital repair and reconstruction of seven children sport objects, 10 professional colleges and academic lyceums are underway.
Over 1,232 projects with total cost of 81 billion soums are realized within the programe of social-economic development in industry, service and agriculture spheres.
In accordance with the programmes on further reforming, structural transformation and diversification of the economy in 2015-2019, it is planned to implement 8 projects worth US$748 million. On Takhiatash power plant, the reconstruction works began due to investments for US$700 million.
Thanks to investments for US$48 million, it is planned to create new modern light industry enterprises on the base of five old ginneries. In the result of implementation of these projects, cotton processing capacities in Karakalpakstan will reach 50-60%.
