Karakalpakstan to Establish Socio-Economic Center for Youth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On Measures to Establish a Socio-Economic Center for Youth through Direct Foreign Investments in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.”

According to the decree, a Socio-Economic Center for Youth will be created in the Khodjayli District. The center will include an IT university, a startup technopark, and innovation support groups, as well as production enterprises aimed at providing employment opportunities for the younger generation.

All social infrastructure facilities built and put into operation will be transferred by the investor to the management of the relevant government authorities free of charge.

A directorate for the Socio-Economic Center for Youth will be established under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan as a state institution, responsible for coordinating the activities of all units and investment projects within the center.
