JW Marriott Enters the Uzbek Market with First Hotel in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Marriott International, Inc., the global hospitality leader, has signed an agreement with one of Uzbekistan’s leading developers, Alliance Holding LLC, to launch the country’s first JW Marriott hotel.

The new five-star JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent is set to open in the capital by the end of 2025 as part of the Tashkent City Mall, a landmark mixed-use development featuring the nation’s largest shopping and entertainment center.

The project will offer 287 state-of-the-art rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, leisure areas, conference halls, business facilities, and signature JW Marriott amenities including the JW Garden, JW Spa, and a dedicated wellness center. The hotel will embody the brand’s philosophy of mindful luxury, where comfort, aesthetics, and guest well-being are central.

Ivica Čačić, Senior Vice President of Development for Central and Eastern Europe at Marriott International, commented:

“Signing the agreement to open JW Marriott in Tashkent reflects the tremendous growth potential of the luxury hospitality segment in the region. We are delighted to expand our presence in Central Asia and confident that the JW Marriott brand will perfectly complement Uzbekistan’s rapidly evolving tourism and business landscape.”

In recent years, Uzbekistan has become an increasingly attractive destination for both tourists and investors, driven by ongoing economic transformation, an improved business climate, and the fast-paced development of urban infrastructure. Strategically located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Tashkent is strengthening its role as a hub for trade, transport, and culture, while global interest in the country’s historical and cultural landmarks continues to rise.

Marriott International currently operates the Courtyard by Marriott Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The upcoming JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent marks a significant milestone in expanding the company’s footprint in the country, offering residents and visitors a new level of world-class premium hospitality.
