Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A joint meeting of the Commission to Promote the Independence of the Judiciary under the Oliy Majlis, the Senate Committee on Judicial Legal Issues and Combating Corruption, the Legislative Chamber Committee on Combating Corruption and Judicial Issues was held.

It considered the issue of strengthening reforms in the judicial sphere.

Work was noted to ensure genuine independence of the judiciary, the importance of making fair and lawful decisions.

They spoke of the need for dialogue with the people to further deepen reforms in the judicial sphere, to ensure the independence of the judiciary and judges, and to identify and eliminate by deputies factors that negatively affect justice.

In the course of studies, judges, court employees, lawyers, representatives of the judiciary, executive authorities and other law enforcement bodies were recommended to hold meetings and discussions with citizens, to develop proposals for improving legislative acts in the judicial sphere. The importance of deepening reforms and improving the efficiency of the courts was noted.

On the issues discussed during the meeting, an appropriate decision of the commission was adopted.
