JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” Discusses New LAB Technologies with Honeywell UOP

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” held a two-day seminar with the participation of the American company Honeywell UOP and the Ministry of Energy, aimed at expanding cooperation in the oil, gas, and chemical industries and implementing advanced technologies.

During the event, leading industry experts discussed modern technological processes for producing linear alkylbenzene (LAB), prospects for increasing export potential, and the adoption of high-tech solutions to enhance energy efficiency and environmental safety.

The first day focused on the LAB production project in Uzbekistan. Representatives from JSC “Uzbekneftegaz,” KMGPetroChem, and Uzbekistan GTL presented the full production cycle — from raw materials to finished products. Honeywell UOP demonstrated decarbonization technologies designed to reduce the carbon footprint of enterprises and optimize production costs.

On the second day, participants reviewed MTO technology for producing ethylene, propylene, and other chemical products, new catalysts and adsorbents, as well as opportunities for deep processing of raw materials in olefin production.

The seminar concluded with proposals for implementing advanced technologies, improving production efficiency, and developing new segments of the chemical industry.

The event marked another step toward modernizing the sector and strengthening international cooperation.
