Joint Uzbek-Afghan Transport Company Established in Kabul
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Kabul, a joint venture, LLC Sogdiana Trans, has been established in partnership with the Afghan company Khan Daqiq Trading, Dunyo reports.
At the opening ceremony, Hamid Khan, head of Khan Daqiq Trading, stated that the company will be able to transport up to 150,000 tons of goods per year by road along the Kabul–Mazar-i-Sharif–Kabul route, and from Mazar-i-Sharif, shipments will be sent by rail to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, and the Baltic countries, with imports returning along the same routes.
Aziz Abdullaev, Head of Logistics and Marketing at Sogdiana Trans, expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the management of Uzbekistan Railways JSC for creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs during the Year of Environmental Protection and the “Green Economy.”
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, emphasized the significance of the new enterprise for expanding bilateral cooperation in transport, logistics, trade, and industry.
