Joint Statement Adopted Following Central Asia Leaders’ Meeting
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 November, following the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, a Joint Statement of the regional leaders was adopted.
In addition, the summit saw the approval of a number of key documents.
These included an appeal to the member states of the United Nations in support of the Kyrgyz Republic’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2027–2028, the decision to grant the Republic of Azerbaijan full participation in the Central Asia Consultative Meeting format, and the Concept of Regional Security and Stability in the region.
The leaders also approved the Central Asia Security Risk Catalogue, which outlines measures for mitigating risks for 2026–2028.
