Jizzakh Region Leads Uzbekistan in Melon and Gourd Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, from January to September 2025, farms of all categories in Uzbekistan produced 2.1 million tons of melons and gourds, marking a 15.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Jizzakh Region ranked first in production with 280.2 thousand tons. It was followed by Sirdaryo Region with 276.5 thousand tons, Qashqadaryo with 265.2 thousand tons, and Surxondaryo with 262 thousand tons.

The lowest production levels were recorded in Tashkent Region at 60.3 thousand tons and Navoiy Region at 73.3 thousand tons. Production in other regions amounted to: Republic of Karakalpakstan — 157.5 thousand tons, Andijan — 141.4 thousand tons, Bukhara — 150.9 thousand tons, Namangan — 99.5 thousand tons, Samarkand — 112.9 thousand tons, Ferghana — 126.6 thousand tons, and Khorezm — 127.5 thousand tons.
