Jinchuan Group and Partners Plan to Invest in Mineral Extraction and Processing in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasymov and a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, which included representatives of major industrial companies — Jinchuan Group, Baide Chemical, and Shandong Junan Ecological Agriculture Technology.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the extraction and deep processing of mineral resources in the Surkhandarya region, as well as opportunities to introduce advanced technologies and attract investments to develop related infrastructure.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a working visit to potential project sites for preliminary assessment and to draft a joint roadmap for further cooperation.
Jinchuan Group is one of China’s largest corporations and is ranked among the country’s top 500 enterprises.
The conglomerate specializes in the extraction and processing of non-ferrous and rare earth metals, ranking third globally in nickel production and fourth in cobalt output. Its annual production exceeds one million tons of non-ferrous metals.
