Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Minister of Innovation Development Ibrohim Abdurahmonov received the Director General of the Financial Cooperation Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hiroyuki Hayashi.
During the meeting, the Minister briefed the representatives of the Japanese delegation on the ongoing work under the memorandum of cooperation signed in Japan between the Ministry of Innovative Development and the Japan Agency for Science and Technology.
The parties discussed the project for the provision of scholarships for training personnel, which will be implemented as part of the technical assistance program of the Japanese government, and touched on the prospects for cooperation in this area.
This program provides representatives of government bodies with the opportunity to study at the magistracy and doctoral programs in the field of engineering, architecture, business administration, law, economics, finance, agriculture and water management, and healthcare. All expenses associated with the educational process in the framework of the advanced training program for public servants of Uzbekistan will be covered by the Japanese government, and its participants will have to go through several stages of the competition.
Since today the training of personnel, in particular the advanced training of government employees, is an urgent issue, this program of the Japanese side was warmly received by representatives of the Ministry. It was noted that assistance will be provided in attracting the participation of employees of the Ministry of Innovative Development and its subordinate organizations who have expressed a desire to study and improve their skills in Japan.
