Japan provides grants to Uzbekistan for US$673,520
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 March 2019, Mr. Nobuaki Ito, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed grant contracts under the program “No-string assistance to grass-root projects”.
As part of the ceremony, Japan provided grants for US$673,525 for implementation of 8 projects in Uzbekistan.
The U. Khalmuratov Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center in the Republic of Karakalpakstan received US$110,238 for implementation of the project “Provision of medical equipment to the Republican Multipurpose Medical Center named after U.U.Khalmuratov.
Japan provided US$89,000 for the project “Provision of medical equipment for the family polyclinic No. 20 of the Almazar District”.
Kagan City Medical Association will receive equipment in the amount of US$110 thousand.
The project "Provision of medical equipment of the Shumanay district medical association" sent US$88,980.
Japan provided funds in the amount of US$108,740 for implementation of the project "Provision of medical equipment to the Tashkent regional perinatal center."
The Ferghana City Medical Association received funds for US$85,890 in the framework of the project “Providing the Medical Equipment of the Fergana City Medical Association”.
The secondary school No. 52 of Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region will acquire training equipment in the amount of US$31,009.
Preschool educational institution No. 13 of Kushtepa district of Ferghana region received US$49,664 for the purchase of educational equipment.
Since 1995, within the framework of this program in Uzbekistan, medical and educational institutions, local authorities and non-governmental non-profit organizations have implemented 383 projects totaling US$27,282,729.
