Janitor from Uzbekistan Awarded Tigran Keosayan Prize for Saving a Child in St. Petersburg

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The janitor from Uzbekistan who saved a child in St. Petersburg will be honored with the Tigran Keosayan Prize, the editor-in-chief of RT and MIA Russia Today, Margarita Simonyan, announced.

Khairullo Ibadullaev, who caught the boy falling from the seventh floor in St. Petersburg, will receive the fourth Tigran Keosayan Prize along with a cash reward of one million rubles.

The award was established on the initiative of Margarita Simonyan.

According to her, the occasion for this recognition was the heroic act of two kindergarten teachers in Buguruslan, who protected children from an armed attacker at the risk of their own safety.
