Italy, Uzbekistan Deepen Agricultural Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Italy and Uzbekistan are expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector through a business forum titled “Italy – Central Asia (C5) + Azerbaijan,” focused on innovation, regenerative agriculture, and digitalization for sustainable agro-ecosystems.

Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, arrived in Tashkent to participate in the event. He was officially received by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov.

Discussions during the forum centered on the introduction of advanced technologies, efficient use of water and natural resources, and accelerating the digital transformation of the agricultural sector.

The program included a series of bilateral meetings, the launch of joint projects, and the development of strategic agreements aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Italy and Uzbekistan in agriculture.
